Sub-Label Studios is a two studio set up across two locations in the UK. The performance space is based in Manchester, the home of the label – right in the heart of the action. While our post production suite is based in the South West of the country in Plymouth. The combination of perfectly balanced and complimentary studio spaces allow the Sub-Label team to develop the highest quality audio and visual products.
Studio One – Mastering & Post-Production Suite
Our flagship mastering and post-production studio is dedicated to the finalisation and polish of creative projects, offering a professional environment for both audio and visual work. Equipped with Apple Macs, Universal Audio UAD software, and an array of industry-standard plug-ins, the space is designed to deliver exceptional sound quality and precision. Monitoring is powered by world-class speakers from Genelec, Dynaudio, and PMC, ensuring clarity and accuracy throughout the mastering process. Alongside audio work, the studio also supports video production and graphic design, making it a versatile hub for artists and labels who want to complete their projects under one roof with professional-grade results.
Studio Two – DJ Performance Space
A performance room built to nightclub standard… Our performance studio is purpose-built to capture live DJ performances with broadcast-ready quality. Centred around a custom-designed DJ rig, the space features Pioneer CDJs and Technics 1210 vinyl turntables, providing both modern and classic formats for versatile sets. Multi-camera video capture allows for dynamic, high-quality recording of performances, perfect for content creation, live-streaming, or promotional use. Designed with artists in mind, the space combines the energy of a live environment with the precision of a controlled studio, ensuring that every performance is documented with the highest audio-visual standards.
